What we do

House removals across the NG districts, flats and Lace Market conversions, man and van for smaller loads, offices and commercial premises, student moves around the two universities, and the London route both ways. Alongside that, a European arm taking households out of Nottingham to France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

The city is the point. We are not a national brand with a Nottingham landing page and we are not a county firm covering everything from Retford to Loughborough. Our crews work these streets, which is why we can tell you which side of a Sherwood terrace the residents bays free up on, and which Lace Market buildings have a goods lift that will actually take a wardrobe.

Where we stop

We cover NG1 through NG11 — the city and its districts. We do not cover Mansfield, Newark, Worksop, Retford or Southwell. Those are Nottinghamshire county towns with their own firm serving them properly, and taking work at the edge of what you know is how a good move turns into an average one.

Pianos are the same principle. They need specialist equipment and specialist cover, there is a Nottinghamshire outfit that does only that, and we would rather point you at them than attempt it and hope.

How we work

Why the survey matters here in particular

A survey takes about an hour and produces the document the crew works from: where the vehicle goes, which route the furniture takes out of the building, what comes apart, what needs crating, who has to be told we are coming.

In a city where the housing stock changes character every few streets, that hour is worth more than almost anywhere. A Lace Market conversion with one shared goods lift, a Sherwood terrace on a gradient with a half-landing, a West Bridgford semi with a drive — three jobs that might share a bedroom count and share nothing else. The firms that quote without looking are not being efficient; they are deferring the conversation to the morning of the move, when you have the fewest options.

For smaller jobs a video walkthrough does the job perfectly well. For a full house, or anywhere the access looks awkward, we would rather come and stand in it.

Insurance

Goods-in-transit and public liability cover are both in place, and the limits are printed on your quote rather than buried in a policy you never see. There is a standard per-item limit; if you own something worth more than it, tell us at survey and we will arrange the cover that piece needs before the day rather than discovering the gap afterwards.

Cover for goods in storage works differently and is based on the value you declare. That is set out in the storage agreement, which you get before anything is collected.

What you will not find on this site

No trade-association logos, because we will not display a membership we do not hold. No press quotes from publications that never wrote about us. No star ratings and no photographs of smiling people who do not work here. A great many removals websites carry all of it and none of it means anything.

No prices either. Not out of cageyness — the written quote is fully itemised — but because a headline figure for "a three-bed move" is meaningless when the three-bed is on the third floor of a warehouse conversion with one lift and a cobbled street outside. We would rather look at the job and tell you the truth.
